We drive to dawn service area as early as possible( say 20:00pm) to get a good spot on the grass land. We shall not be surprised at all to see several hundreds people who have made it there before us.
They have made the pilgrimage to Gallipoli for ANZAC Day, war veterans, military personal and media. Atmosphere is something special. There is a unique feeling in the air, a celebration of peace subdued by a cloud of commemoration. Within 3 hours, the site will appear like a sea of colour with thousands of Aussies and Kiwis sprawling out on the grass, warmly wrapped up in their sleeping bags and national flags.
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY 25th APRIL 009
Drive to Istanbul.

Note that the memorial sites are some 20 minutes drive from the town of today's Gallipoli which is on the same site as the antique city,
Greek Kallipolis that means "Beautiful City."
