Cappadocia is Turkey's visually most striking region. The lunar landscape has captured the hearts and minds of many travelers. When we speak of Cappadocia we simply refer to the valleys of Goreme, Goreme Openair Museum, Urgup, Uchisar and Zelve, each place adorned with fairy chimneys and pinnacles. Other highlights found in the area are cave churches of Ihlara Valley and the underground cities of Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, conveniently placed for your daily excursion from Urgup or Goreme map of location. more

Cappadocia is generally cooler than the popular coastal areas of the Mediterranean and the Aegean. April to mid June and September to October are the best times to visit the area if you wish to avoid the intense heat and crowds of summer.
The closest airport in the region is in Kayseri, the largest city in the region. There are daily flights to Kayseri by Turkish airline and others from Istanbul and Ankara. There are also regular and frequent bus services from main cities such as Istanbul and Ankara to the region. The distance from Ankara to Urgup is about 5 hrs drive. Based in the area you can have excursions to many neighboring places.
You will be met at the Istanbul airport and transferred to your hotel. If desired a short tour of the old city can be given before your check in at your hotel. After the end of the tour you will be transferred back to the airport for your departure.

DAY 4 VISIT HIGHLIGTS
GOREME OPENAIR MUSEUM, ZELVE VALLEY , UCHISAR, UNDERGROUND CITIES,
IHLARA VALLEY, CAVE CHURCHES, FAIRY CHIMNEYS.
Drive to Goreme Valley Open Air Museum. See rock churches and monasteries decorated with colourful frescoes and then to Zelve Valley, Pasa Baglari - Avanos, the ancient village and its 'Fairy Chimneys' visit some ancient pottery shops and antiquities. Continue with visiting Kaymakli Underground city, where early Christians hid from Roman persecutors.
DAY 5 CONTINUE WITH MORE HIGHLIGHTS IN THE AREA
Visit famous Derinkuyu Underground City, next beautifull Ihlara Valley, Sinasos Greek House, Soganli Valley, Keslik Monastery, Kizilcukur Valley.
DAY 6 DRIVE TO NEARBY KAYSERI AIR PORT FOR FLIGHT TO ISTANBUL
Nevsehir (largest town in Cappadocia) to Konya 221 km.
