Mt. Ararat  is the most significant of the two  mountains where the most mysterious legend of mankind is widely associated with.  It is believed that the Noah’s Ark is lying under a glacier mass.

Any undertaking to climb Mt. Ararat will be a life time experience for climbers. However there is one important point to note before you start your plans. This is  that  Mt. Ararat is only recommended to those who  are in good physical conditions and free of any health problems. The recommended age is under 50 years. Also good  climbing experience on glaciers is essential.

Day 1
Meet on arrival at Istanbul airport and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2
Fly to  Erzurum and en route to Dogubeyazit.
Stay in Dogubeyazit overnight.

Day 3
Dogubeyazit - Mt. Ararat 
After breakfast drive to base camp No. 1 by a truck via Eli Village, Base camp (3200m) B,L,D
Dinner at the camp and overnight stay.

Day 4
Mt. Ararat  Climb to Campsite No. 2 (4200m) B,L,D
Climbing to the second campsite for dinner and stay overnight. Equipments are transferred
by the animals.

Day 5
Climb to Summit (5137m)  then descent to Base camp (3200m) B,L,D
At the camp dinner and overnight stay.
Equipments are transferred by the animals.

Day 6
Mt. Ararat  to Dogubayazit B,--,D
Transfer to the hotel in Dogubayazit  for dinner and  overnight stay,en route visit Ishakpasha
Palace

Day 7
Drive to Van, one of the oldest cities in Anatolia.
When arrived visit  Van Fortress and the remains of one of the historical Ermanian Churches in Akdamar
Island on Lake Van,  by motor boats. Dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8

Checkout and transfer to the airport for your onward flight via Istanbul

Turkey presents a mountainous topography where tectonic movements and volcanic activities have resulted in the formation of several peaks. They attract mountain lovers in hundreds every year for skiing and mountaineering. Two of Turkey's most famous peaks for mountaineering are Mt Ararat and Mount Erciyes. Both are inactive and volcanic in nature and attract climbers in hundreds every season.

Mt. Ararat is located in the east close to the border with Iran. This is a legendary mountain with a summit reaching up to 5137m.
Mt. Erciyes is 3917m high and located in Central Anatolia. The city of Kayseri was established  on the outskirts of Erciyes.
