Bursa - Uludag
Located 36 km south of Bursa and eaisly accessible by road and as well as cable-car. The average altitude is around 1850m. The best time of the year is December to April. Those who wish to stay will have no difficultty of finding a suitable accomadation, hotels and family run chalets available.
Bolu - Kartalkaya
Located on the highway Istanbul to Ankara and at 50km from the city of Bolu. The course is amidst pinewoods and lies at 1500 to 2200m. Kartalkaya attracts large number of local ski lovers like Bursa-Uludag because of its favourable location to large cities. You can find good facilities for your stay in comfort.
The best time of the year is December to April.
Kayseri - Erciyes
Erciyes is the highest mountain in central Turkey. It is situated at 25 km from Kayseri at Tekir Yayla, and the sumit is about 4000m high. The ski centre is on the eastern face and has an altitude of 2150m.
The best time of the year is November to May. There is a skii lodge with over 100 bed capacity. The site is facilitated with a ski-lift and baby-lift.
The mountain is also known as one of Turkey's mountaineering site.
Erzurum - Palandoken
Located at approx. 6km from Erzurum and accessible by a good road. The ski site is rated as one of the best in the ski world with its long and difficult course lying at 2200 to 3100m altitude. The site has all the basic facilities; ski lodge, restaurants etc. and the government has plans to develop it further to serve more ski lovers.
The best time of the year is December to April. There are regular flights from Istanbul and Ankara to Erzurum.
Agri - Bubi
Located at 18 km to the city of Agri. The site is still undergoing development but benefits from the reputation of being close to the legendary Ararat.
The season is from December to April.
Kars - Sarykamys
Located close to Kars and lies at an altitude of 2250 m. The site is known for its ideal ski conditions, snow thickness and courses. The city itself or the ski lodge will be fine to serve for your stay. Best season is December to April. There are regular flights to Kars from Istanbul and Ankara.
Kastamonu - Ilgaz
Located at the cross road of the Istanbul - Kastamonu, Ankara - Kastamonu roads, between Kastamonu and Cankiri. The site lies at 1820-2000m altitude and enjoys the ambience of pine woods and scenic landscape.
You can find plenty of game animals in the area if hunting is an option. The best time is from December to April.
