Termessos is an ancient Pisidian settlement in Antalya Province, at an altitude of 1000 meters and 30 Km North-West of Antalya, map of location. This is one of the best preserved sites in Anatolia as it enjoys the protection of Termessos National Park, boasts many rare plants and animal species. Although Termessos is mentioned in the Iliad, no real concrete evidence appears until 334 BCE when Alexander the Great passed through the region. The city boasts a theater, a stoa, an Agora, the foundations of a temple of Artemis, the temple of Zeus and an odeon, among the others.
To get to Termessos you need to have your own transport, about three quarters of an hour drive.
