Pergamon is one of the principal pre-Roman kingdoms of Anatolia , 281-133 BC. Philetaerus was known as the founder and the first ruler of the Attalids dynasty whose kings alternately known as Eumenes and Attalus. Lysimachos fighting Seleucids for the control of Anatolia lost his life at the battle of Corupedium in 281 BC then Philetaerus in charge of Lysimachos's huge treasure at the Pergamon stronghold became the first ruler of the kingdom. After Attalus III Romans annexed the kingdom in 133 BC.
